WELCOME TO GRIEFHAB
Do you need help picking yourself back up after your world came crashing down?
I did too. And I couldn’t find any of the support or services I needed
I created Griefhab because I needed rehab for grief! That made me think about what other people experience when they’re looking for help – and it shouldn’t be up to us to begin with.
We’re already struggling and overwhelmed. So I decided to do something. I vowed to create everything I needed and couldn’t find – and more! Because loss is impossible. And there are so many things that get in the way of healing.

Testimonials
“I wouldn’t be here to write this without Sam. She’ll deny it and say that all she did was believe in me… like that’s a tiny thing. She doesn’t even understand how life changing it was for me to have someone who believes in me. From the minute we connected, I stopped feeling alone. I knew I had someone in my corner. Always.”
-HS
“I’m not sure I can put into words how much Sam has changed my life. I’ve had counselors before, but it always felt like they had their own agendas. Sam isn’t like that. She cares about MY goals and MY needs. The fact that I can text and email between appointments is also huge. Other counselors seem bothered when I need extra support. Sam never makes me feel that way. She just says “it’s what I’m here for.” And she is…. always here for me. No one else has ever been here for me unconditionally. It’s the biggest gift in the world.”
-LG
“I thought therapy was like I saw in the movies. And I had no idea what a coach was, other than my high school soccer coach. Working with Sam isn’t anything at all like that. She’s real. She cares. She listens. And she believes in me. Unconditionally. If you’re like me and letting your ideas of what it’s like to work with Sam get in your way, trust me and just give her a call. You won’t be sorry.”
-Tanya
“There’s NO ONE else like Sam – period! She never judges, is so available and easy to reach, and she believes in me even when I’m struggling to believe in myself. I should also add that she doesn’t pat me on the back and tell me everything is great. She challenges me and always tells it like it is, which I completely need and appreciate. If you want to work with someone who will help you take your life to the next level – work with Sam!”

“I don’t know where I’d be without Sam. I still have ups and downs, but I know I’m not alone. Being able to reach Sam when I need her (not after the fact) has helped me in countless ways. And now I don’t always need to reach out like I did in the beginning. She’s given me tools that I use every day to help me get through the difficult moments. I’m grateful every day that I made that first call. It changed everything. “

F.A.Q.
1: Do you accept insurance?
No, for several reasons – the biggest being that insurance companies give restrictions that Griefhab does not. For example, they only allow a certain number of visits. They only permit contact during business hours.
2: Can I talk to you about “more than” grief? Are any topics off limits?
This is YOUR time. You can discuss whatever you choose.
3: How often am I allowed to contact you? Are certain methods of contacting you (phone, email, social media) prohibited/what are the boundaries?
You can reach out to me anytime. I will always, absolutely always, respond – the same day, with the exception of international time zone differences and middle of the night emails – which will be responded to promptly. No phone messages/contact after 7pm mst unless there is a crisis or you have a customized arrangement with me.
4: If it’s not officially therapy, is it still confidential?
Everything is confidential. Always.
5: I’m seeing someone else for (medication, acupuncture, another treatment modality) and I’ve heard that some people consider that a conflict. How do you handle these situations?
I do not interfere or dictate who you see. There will be times I find it beneficial to communicate with someone else you are seeing, in which case I will ask for your consent and obtain proper written consent forms.
